Old Favorite, Back in Stock
Just in time for the beach...
Les Rials is somewhat of an
esoteric cult wine. We're pleased to announce that it's back in stock for the
season - for the beach, for the BBQ, for the picnic, for whatever...
Made entirely of an ancient French grape varietal known as Loin
de l'Oeil (literally 'far from the eyes'), this is the epitome of
summertime wine. Only a few years ago the grape was nearly extinct; but
thanks to the efforts of two talented young winemakers - Christian Hollevoet
and Christian Etchebar - it's been resurrected from the near-dead. We
couldn't be happier.
Domaine de la Chanade 'Les Rials' 2011 is perhaps one of the most refreshing wines of all time. Beautifully
off-dry and exceedingly floral, it has bright flavors of citrus and tropical
fruit - along with intriguing notes of candied ginger and spices. Though
not overwhelmingly complex, it does spend several months on its 'lees'
(expired yeast sediment), imparting a weighty mouthfeel and a long finish.
Plenty of acid makes this one a delight with just about anything - from
summer salads to fish and poultry straight off the grill...
Try out an all-time favorite for only $8.99/bottle - or get a case for the summer for only $91.70!
