Cinnamon Maple Whiskey Sour

 

Fall is filled with cocktail recipes that play on the season’s flavors.  Today we offer a simple variation on the classic Whiskey Sour using Maple syrup in place of sugar and the addition of cinnamon to bring that fall, bakery spice character to the drink.  It is easy to make and ever so easy to drink.  Halloween is right around the corner and the Cinnamon Maple Whiskey Sour is the perfect drink with which to greet the adult trick-or-treaters.

 

Cinnamon Maple Whiskey Sour

In a shaker glass filled with ice add:

  • 1 ½ Ounces Bourbon
  • 1 Ounce Fresh Squeezed Lemon Juice
  • ½ Ounce Maple Syrup
  • ¼  Teaspoon Ground Cinnamon

Shake like crazy then shake some more.  Strain into a rock glass filled with fresh ice.  Garnish with an orange twist and/or Cinnamon stick.
