The Vesper Martini

Fri, Apr 03, 2026  |  cocktail recipes

James Bond has always had impeccable taste—tailored suits, fast cars, and a well‑built drink. In Casino Royale (1953), Ian Fleming introduced the world to Bond’s own Martini variation: the Vesper, named for the captivating Vesper Lynd. Equal parts elegant and assertive, this cocktail blends gin, vodka, and Lillet into something greater than the sum of its parts—crisp, complex, and unmistakably classic. The touch of vodka softens the gin’s bite, while Lillet Blanc adds a citrus‑kissed, quinine depth that sets the Vesper apart from the standard Martini. It’s an ideal introduction for those easing into gin, and a must‑try for seasoned Martini fans. From Fleming’s pages to glasses around the world, the Vesper remains a timeless icon—and everything you need to mix one properly is waiting for you on our shelves. Shake one up, settle in, and enjoy a little everyday sophistication. Tuxedo optional.
